Our client is seeking a Bookkeeper to oversee, coordinate and review all bookkeeping functions for their operations. Working in an environment that specializes in commercial sanitation, the selected candidate must have a strong background in bookkeeping.
As the Bookkeeper, your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
• Perform bookkeeping duties using Simply Accounting, including:
o Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
o Post journal entries
o Prepare trial balance of books
o Reconcile accounts and issue invoices
o Calculate and prepare payroll
o Generate accurate financial statements
o Oversee year-end procedures
o Reconcile credit card statements
• Establish own work priorities, ensuring deadlines are met and procedures are followed;
• Answer in person and telephone customer enquiries and relay telephone calls.
As the ideal candidate, you will have 3 – 5 years experience working with Simply Accounting, high attention to accuracy and detail, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within tight timelines are required competencies.
