Business Development Lead

Job Summary:

Location: Charlottetown, PE

Our organization is searching for a motivated, experienced, and driven individual to lead our internal sales, social media & marketing activities, and business development operations. In this role, the successful applicant will be expected to strive towards achieving quarterly and annual sales targets, provide up-to-date sales lead reports, notify managers of on-going updates regarding potential business opportunities, and build/maintain professional client relationships. Not only this, but this candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our internal team and asset with various busines operations as needed.

On behalf of our firm, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating value, driving growth, and achieving internal revenue targets through marketing our multiple brands to potential clientele. The Business Development Lead will be responsible for advising well-defined business development, marketing, and HR practices to new and existing clients. To be successful, the candidate will have an ability to identify opportunities, provide recommendations and implement best business practice solutions for present and future clients.

General duties of this position would include:

  • Creating value, driving growth, and achieving internal revenue targets
  • Identifying and pursing potential business opportunities for Confederation Group
  • Striving toward meeting sales targets and quarterly revenue goals
  • Creating professional proposals and documentation for client consideration
  • Understanding Confederation Group’s services and creating marketing initiatives for each business profile (Recruitment, HR consulting, Immigration etc.)
  • Marketing Confederation Group’s multiple brands to potential clientele using Social Media and professional outreach flatforms
  • Providing research findings using data analytics within the labour market
  • Researching the current market for contract and proposal opportunities
  • Communicating professionally with clients, building client relationships and potential revenue pathways
  • Researching and capitalizing on current recruitment, immigration, and HR consulting needs within the current economic environment
  • Providing daily outreach to prospective clients
  • Creating professional sales reports summarizing monthly/weekly sales activities within the organization
  • Maintaining quarterly sales reports and documentation for presentation to organization team
  • Providing a positive and outgoing presence on behalf of the organization
  • Being a professional point of contact
  • Answering phone, Email and in-person messages
  • Assisting all client needs

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Researching up-to-date organizational policies and regulations
  • Traveling to client locations to participate in business meetings
  • Outsource additional parties where needed for project work
  • Create and maintain a successful social media platform for Confederation Group
  • Be a leader within our consulting team
  • Initiate new projects, business opportunities and resources on a continuing basis
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Ability to provide vision and guidance within our consulting portfolio & ideas for the future
  • Creating marketing initiatives to better promote internal services

Abilities and skills required Would include:

  • Excellent sales management and marketing abilities
  • Knowledge of private and public business sectors
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Confidence in the sales management role
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Word programs
  • Confidence in public speaking
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to identify client problems, solutions and research new methods where required
  • Passion for the general business field and a willingness to promote creativity on a daily basis

Requirements for this position would include:

  • Extensive experience within the sales field
  • Experience and knowledge with the local business/economic climate
  • Experience in leading project work and directing staff
  • Secondary education in the Business Administration, Human Resource, Marketing, Public Relations or related field

Consulting experience considered an asset

  • Additional training or knowledge within the business field is considered a strong asset
  • Experience and knowledge within the IT field is considered an asset
