August 3rd, 2022 Island Recruiting is seeking a qualified candidate for a senior leadership role on behalf of our client in Western PEI. An exciting opportunity for a self-directed leader who has the passion and commitment to get things done and is effective in supporting business growth. The successful candidate will direct staff, oversee general management and daily operations, and direct strategic planning in support of the organization’s mission. Maintaining relationships with the clients, community stakeholders, staff, government agencies, and other partners is crucial for success in this role.

Jarocin Responsibilities

General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executing corporate goals and objectives,
  • Building relationships and credibility in the trade area,
  • Overseeing staff and reporting into a management team,
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing daily operations,
  • Monitoring activities and reporting on a regular basis,
  • Responsibilities for operational cashflow and ensuring continued financial growth,
  • Budget management,
  • Managing, training, and developing staff and/ or contractors to ensure objectives are met.
  • Building trust within the community, developing relationships, and keeping stakeholders informed.

  • University degree in business administration, or related experience is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of management background and/ or board related experience as asset.
  • Computer and system competency or familiarity with cloud-based applications.
  • Experience in strategic planning, budget management and finance, managing staff.
  • Self-directed but familiar with reporting structure.
  • Organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Efficient, resourceful, and dependable.
  • Knowledge of the local business community and Western PEI contacts is an asset.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary expectation is $55,000.00 plus incentives to achieve organizational targets. Benefits package available. Flexible work environment based on 37.5 hours per week.
