Painting Operations Manager


We are searching for a self-motivated leader with professional painting experience to join our team! The Painting Operations Manager is responsible of creating project plans, scopes, assessments, and estimation of price structures, fees, and payment for work. The successful candidate will be in the supervisory role, delegating tasks to other staff while also being self-directed.

The POM will consult potential clients and develop project estimations throughout operations. They will ensure that all projects are completed in a professional and timely manner. Our successful candidate will be capable of supervising staff throughout project work, capable of professional relationship building and possess effective communication/administration abilities.

General duties of this position would include:

  • Estimate & evaluate client projects and plans (residential and commercial)
  • Generate schedules for projects
  • Ensure the timely and professional completion of projects/client requests
  • Delegate and supervise staff
  • Communicate between staff, clients, and management on a daily basis
  • Promote the organization’s services on marketing platforms and build potential clientele
  • Be available by phone, email, and in-person to answer customer questions
  • Develop staffing schedules
  • Actively generate paint sales
  • Allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
  • Establish objectives for the business and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Maintaining and expanding the company’s current client base
  • Manage and organize different painting projects simultaneously
  • Monitor progress of the project(s)to ensure responsibility to design plan and expected level of quality
  • Work directly with the staff team to make sure all elements of the physical work is on schedule
  • Collect payments on job sites and/or discuss progress payments with customers
  • Ensure safety policies and safe work practices are followed by staff/team
  • Meeting project deadlines and following time schedules for all projects
  • Promote open communication among the team
  • Training and motivating employees


Requirements for this position would include:

  • Professional Painting experience required
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Confidence in the leadership and sales role
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the painting industry preferred
  • Ability to show up on time and complete projects daily
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience in budgeting and handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and/or method of transportation to and from job sites
  • Strong English language, other languages considered a strong asset
  • Ability to work in all-weather/environmental situations
  • Proven ability to perform physically demanding work (may require a health assessment)
  • Criminal background check
