MBS Radio is searching for a Radio Account Manager to oversee marketing, sales, and business development activities for their Charlottetown location. The successful applicant is expected to be effective in securing and managing client relationships throughout PEI to promote MBS radio. In this position, the Radio Account Manager is responsible for organizing and directing their own marketing and sales initiatives, as well as collaborating with the internal General Manager at their Charlottetown office. 



The Radio Account Manager is responsible for greeting and working with customers by determining their needs, asking questions, and providing guidance in selecting the right service for them. Reaching business and sales targets and using excellent selling and communication skills will be a focus for this position. A motivated and driven individual who is comfortable communicating with and seeking out clientele will be essential for this role. General duties of this position would include: 

  • Contributing information, ideas, and research to help develop marketing strategies
  • Assisting in detail, design, and implementation of marketing initiatives
  • Contacting existing and potential clients
  • Setting marketing schedules and coordinating with colleagues, sponsors, and other professional contacts
  • Answering questions from clients about service benefits
  • Developing revenue generation strategies
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
  • Tracking sales data, working to meet quotas and/or sales team goals
  • Maintaining and expanding the company’s current client base
  • Emphasizing service features and benefits, quote prices, etc.
  • Budget management and organization
  • Effectively communicating with managers and executives 
  • Analysing trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
  • Working with customers to determine their requirements and unique needs
  • Investigating and troubleshooting customer service issues


Day-to-Day duties of this position would include: 

  • Developing positive working relationships 
  • Being a sales leader within the team 
  • Ensuring to be proactive during daily operations
  • Providing customers with accurate pricing information, and notifying them of current offerings 


Requirements for this position would include:

  • Post-Secondary education within the field of marketing, business administration or related background
  • Additional certifications will be considered a strong asset
  • Experience in a general business environment 
  • Experience in sales and marketing 
  • A demonstrated ability in computer proficiency
  • Strong knowledge in the use of MS Office programs
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
