Island Recruiting is currently searching for Sales and Marketing Representative – IT & BPO, to join our client, located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. In this role, the Sales and Marketing Representative – IT & BPO, will work closely with the management team and support teams to build prospects, client relations, sales pipeline and identify opportunities; thereby generating revenues for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

Manage customer relations, client and prospect services – pre and post deal closures;
Execute the required Sales & promotions in their respective market;
Research market intelligence / information;
Own the process of identifying, shaping, and closing the Business opportunities;
Assist in opportunity qualification and risk assessment;
Develop proposals, pursue and win deals;
End to end ownership & coordination during various stages of opportunity like prospecting, proposal defense & transitions;
Analyze critical business drivers, risks and needs that meet client / prospect requirements;
Support the post signature process including support to contract integration, change management, governance activities, up sells / cross sells and relationship management;
Ultimately; achieve the Sales Revenue Generation Target.


Sales territory is the Americas with preference & priority to Canada;
Expected travel based on business needs across Canada, US, UK, India and other locations for client relations;
Required to maintain a rolling pipeline as per expectations of management / leadership;
Expectation is to support and close opportunities which could result in achieving or exceeding the management quota assignments;
Frequently represents the organization to other businesses within the company and to external customers/clients;
Acts as a relationship liaison representative for clients / prospects with an objective of acquiring new business and generating revenues;
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.

REQUIRERMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE: (within first 90 days of joining)

University or Bachelor’s degree preferable;
Appropriate Experience in International Business Development and Sales;
Strong communication skills with a Sales attitude;
Preferred knowledge of North & South America / Canadian / UK markets;
Demonstrable understanding of current & emerging IT & BPO markets;
Demonstrable understanding of developing client / prospect relations & business acumen;
Excellent verbal & written Communication Skills;
Basic computer skills; MS Office;
Temperament to work in a highly matrixed and virtual as well as growing organizational environment;
Self-go-getter attitude with a well disciplined approach in an unsupervised work environment.

Mandate requirement & expectation to roll up the sleeves and engage in to hands-on ground level work required for executing Sales including cold calling during the initial phase and / or until the time a specialized team is available to execute functions like cold calling, pre-sales support, etc.
Mandate requirement & expectation to be capable of working alone during the initial phase OR first year of the incorporation of the organization in Canada
