Blake Doyle

Blake DoyleMr. Doyle is a business owner and entrepreneur who resides in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. He has started numerous businesses in the retail and service sectors and has traveled, for business, across North America and the world.

Blake resided in Halifax for eight years. While in Halifax he participated in a number of information technology companies and led a successful divesture of a regional e-commerce company to a publicly traded company.

Blake received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and an Executive MBA from Saint Mary’s University. His current operating entities revolve around retail management, management consulting, Human Resource consulting and investment financing.

As an entrepreneur Blake has the ability to analyze data and make pragmatic business decisions quickly. Blake continues to provide strategic advice to numerous companies across various sectors.

 

Marcia Beck

Ms. Beck has used her Human Resource education in a professional setting for two years. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary’s University with a focus in Human Resources and Management in 2008. In early 2009, she began working in a Human Resource capacity developing HR policies and creating process documentation for private sector businesses. Marcia currently manages the operations at Island Recruiting and facilitates the foreign hiring process on behalf of clients.

As a member of the Immigration Task Force, Business Under 40 Committee and past member of the Labour Relationships Committee with the Charlottetown Chamber of Commerce, Marcia has kept current on the HR needs of businesses and informed on current Human Resource initiatives.

As a Manager, Marcia has the ability to effectively identify and diagnose strategic challenges and recommend appropriate actions for an organization to take. Marcia is skilled to solve problems using analytical and conceptual skills, and to think critically.

 

Jamie Kilbride

Jamie is a dedicated recruitment professional where “above and beyond” is his motto. He has been a Recruiter since 2003 successfully matching employers and job-seekers across the country.

His background before recruiting was client service based as well as entrepreneurial ventures in which he learned most of his skills that relates to hiring managers.

Ashlee London

Ashlee is an outgoing, personable and dedicated Recruitment Professional. After graduating from St. Mary’s University with a BA in Psychology and HR Management certification Ashlee gained valuable executive recruiting experience in the oil and gas industry in Calgary. Ashlee appreciates the importance of building strong client and candidate relationships and enjoys connecting, meeting and working with talented candidates and interesting clients in a variety of industries.

Ashlee is best known for her attention to detail and her ability to listen to the client’s needs and understand the qualifications for a perfect candidate-employer fit. Following the disciplines of research, analysis, strategy and execution, she achieves results for clients.

Outside of Island Recruiting she enjoys the outdoors, her new home, softball, and spending time with her niece and nephews. Ashlee is also an active volunteer with the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Parkinson Society Maritime Region.

Lucie Morin

Ms. Morin is a Senior Advisor, Human Resources & Corporate Management with more than 25 years of experience mostly in R&D organizations and companies in the Bioscience sector as well as non-for-profit organizations. She is a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) and a Registered Professional Trainer (RPT) of the Institute of Professional Management in Ottawa and a Certified Human Resources Professional designate (CHRP) of the Canadian Council of Human Resources Association (CCHRA).

From 1980 to 2004, Lucie held various positions in administration and human resources, namely for the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, she was part of the Industrial Affairs Department Team of the National Research Council of Canada at the Biotechnology Research Institute in Montreal, Lucie joined Nexia Biotechnologies Inc. a member of the first Management Team and acted in the capacity of Director of Administration and Human Resources for the following 10 years.  More recently,  Lucie worked at ProMetic Life Sciences Inc., a Montreal based company, where she held an international global role as Vice-President Human Resources for Canada/USA/UK.

In the fall of 2008, Lucie and her family moved to Prince Edward Island; she first worked at the UPEI-HR department on a term contract dealing with special projects; in the fall of 2009 she moved on to Prince Edward Island BioAlliance where she has completed a first HR project regarding the establishment of an HR strategy for the BioScience sector in PEI.  In June 2011 she joined Novartis Animal Health Canada Inc. as Head of HR for the PEI operations.

Lucie is currently a Senior HR Advisor with FocalHR & Island Recruiting.

Chris Harris

Mr. Harris is an experienced management consultant and project manager who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and an Applied Information Technology (AIT) diploma from the Information Technology Institute. Currently, Chris is a Project Manager with FocalHR and Island Recruiting.

Mr. Harris has held management consulting, project manager, business analyst and accounting positions in multiple sectors such as HR and Information Technology.  This exposure to different industries and positions, throughout his career, has allowed him to develop strong communication, project management and accounting skills.  Additional skills include experience in compensation, project management, requirements elicitation, data analysis, business analysis, business process design/documentation, and product development.  He has received specialized industry specific training in courses such as Project Management, Developing User Requirements, and information technology.

Mr. Harris has been directly involved as a consultant on several compensation studies including the PEI BioAlliance Compensation Study (2011) and the PEI Residential Construction Compensation Study (2011).

Monika Wang

Monika is an experienced Certified Immigration Consultant, fluent in Mandarin and English. Monika studied at the Loughborough University in United Kingdom and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Management. Currently, Monika is an Immigration and Investment Coordinator with FocalHR and Island Recruiting.

After moving to Canada, she started her career in immigration field. She worked closely with immigration lawyers, accountants in Canada and immigration agents overseas.  She has provided assistance to around one hundred foreign business investors who obtained PEI Provincial Nomination Certificates in the past and helped with match making for almost one hundred island-owned companies with qualified foreign business investors. She also had the experience of working at immigration services department of Innovation PEI. It provided her excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and expertise in processing immigration applications. As a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, she is now offering a full complement of professional services and support in all areas of the immigration practice with a focus and expertise in the business investor class, family connection class and skilled worker class.

Monika was also involved in facilitating provincial trade missions to China. She has experience of organizing business match making meetings and retention seminars for newcomers to Canada.

Monika is presently an Immigration and Investment Coordinator with Island Recruiting.

Kim Fleming

Ms.Fleming graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2009, with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree, and a focus in Human Resources.  She recently relocated to Prince Edward Island from Newfoundland, bringing with her a wide range of work experience.

Kim has worked with various companies, in both the private and public sector, in a combination of HR, Marketing and Customer Service roles.  Throughout her professional work experiences, her number one priority has always been client satisfaction.  Kim is definitely results oriented, and enjoys working with clients to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships.  Her attention to detail, outgoing personality and passion for recruitment make her a perfect fit for her new role.

Sue Zhang

Sue is currently the Administrative Coordinator at Island Recruiting. Originally from Chengdu, China, she started her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the University of Prince Edward Island in 2008. She is in her final year at UPEI and participating in the University Case Competition Team. Sue is very excited to apply what she learned in school to her work in Island Recruiting.

Sue is very fluent in both English and Mandarin. Her working tasks are mainly administrative supporting work such as document filing and client record tracking.
